How to Register for SHOW by SkyCity

At SkyCity Hamilton, carded play is required for casino gaming. SkyCity has introduced carded play at all its New Zealand casinos, and you need a SHOW by SkyCity card or valid Premier Rewards card to play casino games. Everything here works through the SHOW by SkyCity rewards programme - your card for casino play. Signing up to SHOW by SkyCity is free. Whether you’re signing up online on the SkyCity Hamilton website or stopping by in person at 346 Victoria Street, your ID needs to be ready. Choosing online? Head to skycityhamilton.co.nz, find the registration page and fill out your name, contact details, a residential address and valid photo ID, and PO boxes are not accepted. Now upload a clear photo of your ID. Sign-up is quick and SkyCity Hamilton says you can sign up in less than 5 minutes. Once done, you’ll hear from us by email with the next steps. Please note that you must collect your printed SHOW by SkyCity card in person to complete sign-up.

Some don’t want the wait. You can sign up online, at a SHOW by SkyCity kiosk, or with assistance at a Guest Services Desk on the main casino floor. At the casino, right by our main doors, staff check your ID and issue your membership card then and there. You can usually complete sign-up in less than 5 minutes.

ID Rules and Verification

Only valid photo ID lets you join, and we’re strict. Your ID must be original, valid and not expired or cancelled, in English, and you must be at least 20 years old. Digital IDs, photos, screenshots and expired documents cannot be accepted. We accept:

Acceptable photo ID can include a current New Zealand or Australian passport, a current New Zealand or Australian driver’s licence, or a current foreign passport with name, date of birth, photograph and signature.

In some cases, additional identity checks may be required. And about the address - a current residential address is required. PO boxes are not accepted.

Online Registration Flow

Here’s what usually happens when you sign up online:

1. Go to skycityhamilton.co.nz, look for SHOW by SkyCity.
2. Hit the register or signup button.
3. Fill in your full name as printed on your ID.
4. Add an active mobile and your email address.
5. Type in your whole residential address - street number, suburb, city, postcode.
6. Upload your ID photo or scan, all corners visible.
7. Tick the age box: yes, you are 20 or older.
8. Look over your details, then submit.

To complete sign up, you must provide your name, contact details, a residential address and valid photo ID. If anything’s wrong, our team will contact you with what to fix. The moment you sort it, resend - same process, smoother the second time.

Registering at SkyCity Hamilton Casino

Want to register face-to-face? Walk up to our service counter at 346 Victoria Street. Just bring your original ID (no copies). Our team will check everything, add your info to our system, then set you up with your rewards card. You must collect your printed SHOW by SkyCity card in person to complete sign-up.

We also point out the responsible gambling features and explain how the card is used on the gaming floor. Once you’re set, we show you how to use the card in machines and on tables. After that, nothing’s stopping you from heading onto the floor.

Premier Rewards Upgrade for Regular Players

Our higher level - Premier Rewards - is open to members already holding a SHOW card and actively playing. Current Premier Rewards members will be invited to pick up their Premier Rewards card, and a valid photo ID will be required at collection. All ID rules remain the same, though for Premier level there might be a request for extra financial checks.

Moving up unlocks a new set of perks. Rewards Points can be earned across participating outlets at SkyCity and redeemed for rewards. Expect priority reservations, entry to dedicated areas, and a personal approach from our hosts, on top of everything available to standard members.

Who’s Allowed to Enter SkyCity Hamilton

The rules about who gets inside are set in stone. Casino entry is for those 20 years and older, no exceptions. SHOW by SkyCity Rewards sign in is marked R20. To get on the gaming floor for the first time, we’ll verify your age and check your ID, regardless of registration.

About dress code: tidy, not ultra-casual. Anyone looking scruffy or in sportswear could be turned away. Families should check the venue’s current entry policy before visiting.

Carded Play System

To experience the action at SkyCity Hamilton Casino you need a SHOW by SkyCity card or valid Premier Rewards card to play. Both gaming machines and tables need you to use your SHOW or Premier card. SHOW by SkyCity cardholders can earn Rewards Points when they play Gaming Machines or Table Games, or when they make purchases at participating outlets.
