SkyCity Rewards Card: Registration and Setup

We help everyone get started with a rewards card. Signing up to SHOW by SkyCity is free, quick and easy. SHOW by SkyCity is available for players across SkyCity New Zealand locations, and Premier cards continue to work. No need to choose; your card works at our Hamilton, Auckland, or Queenstown locations. All it takes is a single sign-up on site. SkyCity has introduced carded play at all New Zealand casinos, and a SHOW by SkyCity card or valid Premier Rewards card is required to play casino games.

Step up to our membership desk on the main gaming floor - it’s not hard to spot. Bring a valid photo ID: your NZ passport, NZ or Australian driver’s licence, or a proof of age card all work. The age rule is strict. You must be 20 years or older to enter the Gaming areas at SkyCity Hamilton. No one under 20 gets a card, and nobody younger is allowed into gaming areas at all.

Most days, signing up only takes about five minutes, unless there’s a crowd. Fill in a form, show your ID, and agree to the rules. Your card is printed while you wait and can be used on the gaming floor after activation. To earn rewards points, you need to opt in to the SHOW by SkyCity Rewards programme at the Guest Services Desk.

Before you sit down to play, activate your card at a slot machine or game table. That’s about it for the setup.

QUICK Pay is an added extra some locals love. It’s up to you. If you go for it, you can keep funds linked to your rewards card - no more trips to the ATM or pockets full of cash.

Documents and Card Activation

Remember to bring proper ID, and give your current address and contact. Applicants must also provide a residential address and contact phone number and or email address when signing up. Digital IDs, photos, screenshots and expired documents cannot be accepted. They need to match your ID - it’s a rule. Once staff check your details, your card gets handed over and you’re ready. Activate at a gaming machine or with a table dealer the first time.

When You Can Play: Entry and Hours

There’s a $20 entry fee for everyone, no matter how often you show up. SkyCity Auckland is open 24/7, excluding Christmas Day, Good Friday, and 3am to 1pm on Anzac Day. You must be 20 years or older to enter the Casino and join SHOW by SkyCity Rewards. Doors open 10am to 4am, Monday through Thursday, with last call at 3:20am. On Friday, we open at 10am and just don’t close again until Monday morning.

We close only three days out of the year - Christmas, Good Friday, plus from 3am to 1pm on Anzac Day.

Keep it tidy. That’s our dress code. Smart casual is all you need. If attire’s way too relaxed, managers may ask you to change. It doesn’t happen often, but standards are real.

How Our SHOW by SkyCity Rewards Levels Work

We set things up in tiers. The more you play, the further you go. No forms to fill out for moving up or down, we track everything with your card automatically. Play enough, and you’ll see the upgrades - access to new slots first, invites to members’ events, better real-world value for your points.

A customer must opt in to the rewards programme to start earning Rewards Points. Without opting in, the customer remains a SHOW by SkyCity Player cardholder who can play at a SkyCity Casino. SHOW by SkyCity members can earn Rewards Points and pay with points across SkyCity. Rewards points are earned based on your play: on gaming machines, $3.08 turnover equals 1 point for non-VIP members, while table games are calculated differently. Points can be redeemed at a rate of 100 points = $1. Keep in mind that points expire after 6 months of inactivity. VIP Gold status requires 500 points per week or 4,350 points over 61 days.

Certain levels unlock our VIP Gaming area. There you get things like your own account manager and more personalised service. Points accumulate based on which games you play, and how much you bet factors in too.

If you use QUICK Pay, funds connect smoothly from your card straight to a machine. Machines can print tickets for any winnings. Just drop those at a QUICK Exchange kiosk, or head to see a cashier.
